Spanglish Affair - Open Stage
Spanglish Affair is NYC’s only Spanglish open stage — a monthly cabaret-style night hosted by Pelayo AF and produced by Something From Abroad.
Every month, we invite performers to experiment, take risks, and try new work in the most supportive room possible. This is a low-stakes, high-reward space for musicians, singers, drag artists, burlesque performers, storytellers, comedians, and multidisciplinary artists working in Spanish, Spanglish, or beyond.
Spanglish Affair is about community, play, and creative freedom — a place where artists can show up as they are, test ideas, and be celebrated.
🎤 Always open to new performers.
✨ Always open to experimentation.

Sending 365 letters of my project Origin vs Reinvention
I’m mailing 365 handwritten letters with a private link to my new performance Origin vs. Reinvention.
The piece was the first time I ever performed to my parents (my origin), and I wanted to reinvent myself by doing something I’ve never done:
sending a physical letter to 365 people around the world.
( do i even know what im getting into?!!!)
If you want one, sign up here 💌.
I don’t care if you live in Madrid, the Philippines, or Staten Island — I’ll send it to you.
Share this with someone who deserves a letter and not just another notification.
(Disclaimerrrr I promise to keep all addresses private and info and not share with anybody plus Amazon already did so, who cares)
☎️ “ni me llames, ni me escribas que estaré comunicando…”
A digital cabaret about the journey of breaking up with anxious attachment.
Structured as four audiovisual “stops,” the project blends music, performance, and surreal imagery to trace an emotional arc from co-dependence to independence.
